Pyrenees Orientales is a jewel is only just starting to be discovered by those outside of France. Being a Catalan region, the culture is a mix of French and Spanish and there are a wide variety of castles, forts, ancient churches, monasteries and fantastic restaurants to visit whilst you are here. It’s been featured in many travel pages by the press, the most recent being ‘The Sunday Telegraph - 24th July 2011 (Travel section)’ which gives an excellent overview of what is available.

For activities, almost anything is possible…. Walking, cycling, golf, canyoning, bird-watchching, horse riding, caving, fishing, sailing, skiing, snowboarding, sight-seeing and of course just relaxing. Being situated within the area bordered by the Pyrenees and the mediterranean, the climate all year round is fantastic for any of the activities you choose to do.
